Recent Melia Hanoi Review: "Everything is kept to standards one would expect from a good hotel in North America or Europe, and the key staff speak excellent English. All staff respond promptly and courteously to any and all requests. The spa is elegant and provides good service. The breakfast buffet has comprehensive American, European and Asian offerings. The restaurants, however, are badly over-priced and distinctly mediocre, especially the 'tapas' bar. Event catering ranges from competent to divine (especially for seafood eaters). Vegetarian catering is a bit thin, but could probably be cajoled. Out event's gala dinner was amazing. Conference facilities are generally excellent, although our event had a problem with the wall to separate the ballroom getting broken, which was problematic for parallel sessions. But the staff were on top of fixing as well as they could, and I have little doubt that it's already been corrected."
